【Head Coach Takeshi Yamanaka】
"We were able to get some goals off the start, but we had some unlucky goals against us and the team started to waver a bit. In the second half of the game, we started to lose 1-on-1 battles and that's what probably led to our collapse. The rookies played real hard and at times looked stiff out on the ice but I'd like to reward them with a little bit more ice time. We're going to have to get better on defense for tomorrow and if we can do that, we'll have a good chance to win for sure."


COMMENT

【Head Coach Keisuke Araki】
"I'm really happy that we were able to get three points right off the bat this season. We told the players to concentrate hard on playing well prior to the start of the game. I was also happy with the way we came out of the second period with no goals against us on the penalty-kill. We played simple hockey in the third and I thought we were able to control the play. The players had a knack for looking for goals around our opponent's net. If we can continue the way we played today it'll definitely lead to wins down the road."
